On 1 December 2009 I went to a concert of Patricia Kaas in Düsseldorf.

Months before the concert I started thinking what i should wear and what I wanted to buy for her and what I should say etc. I was pretty nervous.

On 1 December, in the morning, the girlfriend of my son, Moniek came to my house to give me some make up. I did want to look good hè?

At 12.30 hr I went on my way to Düsseldorf. When I got there I went to my hotel. It was very near the train station. It looked good. I went for a little walk in the neighbourhood and had dinner somewhere. Then I waited till it was time to go to the Philipshalle.

I was there just after 19 hr. At the ticketcounter I fetched my backstage passes and when I was inside I went looking for the merchandise. Unfortunately there was not much and I only bought a tourprogramm.

I also looked how the atmosphere was in the hall. The Philipshalle is a very nice hall and I think about 2000 fans were there.

After the concert we had to go to the right side of the stage. There were 7 other fans.

After 10 minuter or so somebody took us behind the stage. Somewehere in a hallway we had to wait.

Cyril Prieur, Patricia's manager, came to us and asked who Johanna was. I went with him to another room and there we talked with each other for a while. It was really nice to meet him!

After that it took about 10 mintes and then we were allowed to go into Patricia's room.

Wow! it was fantastic to meet her! I have her my present, that I bought for her birthday. She said she would open it on her birthday. I also had written a letter to Patricia and included that in the present.

Tequila, her dog, came to me and I caressed him. I also had bought something for her and I gave that to Patricia.

I asked if it was allowed to take some photos and that was ok. Cyril made 2 photos of us.

Then it was the turn of the other fans.

It was a fantastic experience and I will rememebr it for a long time!
